The Hartmans

Hartman's Biography

Studio Hartman History
The Hartmans all started their musical journey at the ripe age of about four years old with Suzuki violin lessons. After getting involved with regional and national fiddle competitions, they were soon inspired to branch out onto other instruments.

Mr. Hartman encouraged them to work up some songs as a group, and before long they had their first "official" performance at the local farmer’s market, with a wagon full of vegetables as their pay! They attended a festival called, Gospelgrass, where they met Suzie Solomon who inspired them to continue as a band which got them geared up to practice and learn new tunes. Throughout the past five years they have entertained audiences around the country, and the release of their brand new album, Borrowed Time, will see them exploring more uncharted territory.

First Album Released
Borrowed Time, was recorded and produced by Aaron Youngberg at Swing Fingers Studio in Fort Collins, CO. Before and throughout the recording process, Aaron and Erin Youngberg mentored and guided The Hartmans. Joining them on Borrowed Time is, David Richey, bringing dobro on Call of Spring, Hannah Alkire, with cello on Papillon, and Erin Youngberg on bass. To here samples of the CD, click here.
